The Restaurant 2009

haha! I must admit, that was a good one! My next challenge is to try and make a plane-cake, I'm rubbish at baking, but I'm sure I could make as good an attempt as he did!!! :-)

will it make the cut this week, I wonder, when's it filmed?

I'm still chuckling about his "Grimebusters" a bit like the BBC's Life of Grime -it's the same" -and waiting for a similar line about Restaurant in your Living room/Home

Really enjoyed this on iplayer whilst reading all the comments. Mum and Joe very unlucky IMO, but does it show that in these so called top restaurants it's all about the concept nowadays, with the food a side issue?

Are the blondies going to be the John & edward of the show, i wonder.

"Soup in a roll" -what was that? Can anyone remind me?

They had however forgotten about the Beef until the butler said that they ought to get on with it.

If he hadn't of given them a heaRAB up the beef would have been so rare it would have been stampeeding off of the plate. :D

Probably before the other contestants had been selected. After all they had to ensure that all of the other couples had major faults and were not outstanding chefs! Chris was probably the best chef but Nathan was undoubtedly his achilles heel. Next best were The Twins but they were too fragile and his back trouble could make him unreliable under a heavy workload in a kitchen.

But a couple with an existing, successful drinks business in Covent garden........gold! As was seen throughout the series, the souschef did almost all of the cooking...what stories could he tell, I wonder.

Check the books, select the opposition, and, well , we know the result!
