Yes this series has been poor, and I suspect the last (:cry:) but my god it was worth it for that cake, we were literally in tears at one point.

The Twins to win, but I do think if Chris had a decent front of house person, and not someone who looks like a homicidal maniac most of the time, he'd walk this.
 
My own personal favourite was one of Nathan's retorts to an unhappy diner; "Oh well, guess we won't be seeing you again then", delivered with trademark teenagerish smirk. I mean, for goodness sake! Would you seriously want to eat in an establishment with staff like that?
All those who decry the lack of emphasis upon the cooking credentials of the winners seem to be excusing the complete lack of FOH credentials in the losing side. Surely both are of equal importance in the contest, which would leave both sides, at best, evenly matched.
In my own personal experience, nothing has put me off any restaurant quicker than poor service or surly staff.
 
Institutionalised is the word you're looking for.

A lot of long-term military types have difficulties adjusting to the less structured life on civvy street.

Shame, as B & B were looking good to win the thing.
 
The electric whisk was a Dualit, I think. "What a machine!!!", he said. I wonder how much he got paid for that ;)

Even if I had the patience and skill I couldn't make the choc cup & saucer because everything would melt at my merest touch :cry:
