The Restaurant 2009

Raymond was looking for an excuse to justify keeping the bleached boys in.
So presto he comes up with something that has nothing at all to do with running a restaurant but would surely kill unconfident Steve.
I now am convinced this program has been a set up from the start and I feel very cheated wasting my time watching this garbage.

In the past couple of days there was an article in the Guardian with Raymond Blanc giving tips on how to sort out frequent kitchen problems, one of which was a add a peeled potato to a sauce if its too salty.

i didn't know there was a topic on this, i spend too much time on the x factor forum. :D

i honestly can't believe that those two won! it was only when they were announcing the winner and raymond said about concept that i knew they'd won. i was like

seriously they blagged their way through the whole competition, they weren't even that good, and they failed in the final task!

As one of those opposed to the outcome, may I suggest that the purpose of the programme, AFAIK, was to find two people who would open a restaurant in partnership with RB & Co. If the criterion was just a successful business then yes, anything goes, but this is not how the show was presented to us. They threw out people who failed to convince that they could cook. But not the winkers, who were the least convincing cooks of all.
