The Restaurant 2009

What clique is this then? I'm sure there are forum members who know each other and repeatedly comment on each others posts but I'm not one! It's not 'e-mail' any more than its twitter, it's a message board!... Pedant apologies from me! No offence caused but you are still being a bit troll like even being mild mannered in your own apology... post some sort witty critique or nonsense about the topic by all means but leave off other posters, they can be skipped over if you don't find them funny!

What a farce!!
I have not been following as the show went from being unmissable to unwatchable this season IMO.
But there was nothing else on at 8:30 last night so I said I'd see who won?
I felt so sorry for the losers. A complete joke, those two muppets are complete incompetents and chancers and yet they won. Really disappointing and I'm glad there won't be another series.
Really sad way for what was a good series to end, and I feel desperately sad for RB for being associated with it.

It won't be Thursday 22nd - the Professional Masterchef final between the last three has been stretched from 2 programmes last year to four this with a 90 minute final final on the 22nd so looks like the following week.

If it is eight weeks like last year it will end the week before Christmas.

Looking forward to next Thursday we have the massacre of the bunnies. From the BBC press release:

The five remaining couples get a lesson in seasonality as The Restaurant continues.

Before their restaurants open for evening service, Raymond Blanc sets them a challenge. They must use only fresh, local and seasonal produce to make dishes to sell at a farmers' market. As well as showcasing the best produce, their dishes must promote their restaurant concepts.

It's a chance to find new customers and show Raymond's partners, Sarah Willingham and David Moore, what they can do but, as the pressure mounts, one pair goes absent without leave.

Back at the restaurants, a surprise delivery from Raymond puts seasonal meat on all the couples' menus. For some chefs it's a welcome chance to move beyond their comfort zone, but others find it barbaric.

It's clear that while some of the couples are beginning to shine, the bravado of others is wearing thin. Whatever Raymond, Sarah and David see will decide which of the couples' restaurants will close.

A voice of sanity in this thread, Inspiration. :) However, you will never convince those who are completely opposed to the outcome of the programme and who seem to forget that the purpose was to find a business which was likely to be successful and generate a return for the investors.

Ummmmm...and how are you so certain that "goddess" is actually female? He/She actually seems to have taken great care not to confirm their gender in their posts.

BTW, "Crazy Ray" deserves most of the flak for this debacle, but Insane Sarah is not too far behind.
