The Restaurant 2009

Episode 8 - The Banquet

Part 2 - The Service

The next day (with some foreboding?) is dull and overcast. The four boys gurn for the camera as they walk up the very, very long drive up to Castle Hill, the stately Devonshire pile of the Earl and Countess of Arran. They are met at the door by Robert, the butler. Robert looks like a cross between a fairground boxer and every gloomy, and ultimately evil, butler who appears in Scooby Doo, where his name would be

Tonight's episode was classic, right back on form like last year :D!!

- LOL @ how spoolkily alike that couple looked (the one's who made the fondant) - I could have sworn they were brother and sister!!!

- Eeeeeeek at the knives - I had to look away when they were trying to open the tin and break the coconut. I can sympathise with them trying to open the coconut though as me and my mum were trying to open one for over half an hour at the weekend, and we failed --- ended up in the bin cuz we couldn't do it. We were using a hammer though, not a knife!

- I think I liked the couple who made the roast pork the most at this stage - reckon they will make the final.

- That Gravaaaaaaaaaaad Laaaaaaaaaaax woman is so annoying! It's Gravalax to most of us!!! Why didn't they change their starter, when they realised they couldn't get gravalax in Asda - or why didn't they actually go to a decent shop which might sell it?

- What are you supposed to use if something is too salty - seemed like Raymond knew what that bloke should have done to make it less salty, but we never found out what it was?! I would like to know for future reference lol!

Those are my key points tonight!!
