The Restaurant 2009

Tatty and Gimpy were adorable by the end (and Tatty especially was disliked a lot in the first episode) , and give Gimpy his dues, he did improve and I'd much rather have his slightly bumbling ways then James' smarm, even if I would wonder how long I'd have to wait for my food as he gazed adoringly at Tatty over a five ring hob.

Well, they wouldn't be the type of guys I would want to spend much time with..I agree with you there.
But they did same capable of charming the pants off customers, figuratively speaking of course. :D

True, and I think Monica would have committed acts of violence on the Winkers way before the end ;)

It's just my personal wish to see the lovely Michel on TV as often as possible :o

Come on guys, you have to admit that apart from the shocking ending it was comedy gold.:D

The worst couple in the whole show winning.

Well I dont know what Raymond Blanc was trying to achieve, but certainly not to be a laughing stock (as apposed to a clear, fresh chicken stock, which JJ couldnt cook either).

This has certainly done his reputation no good at all. As someone else has said, the only explanation for such an extraordinary ending, is that from the moment JJ winked at Raymond, the spell was cast. It was a kind of Paul McKenna hypnotism trick.

Anyway, I've been onto Ray's website and emailed him my thoughts on his unfathomable decision to let cant cook wont cook win the show. I urge you all to do the same, cos if like me you feel absolutely conned (which is how most of the contestants must feel too), then vent your spleen.

My wife & I watched it from sky+ tonight. We both just sat stunned at the end and then she said to me, guess we wont be watching that crap again.

Too effin right. What a complete con and disgrace. The Duran Duran rejects should have been out week after week and the overwhelming evidence tonight is that they were out of thier depth.

Well, it seems to have brought in as Exec Producer, one Rachel Arnold whose less than impressive CV includes the wonder that was Celebrity Love Island.

I'm rubbing my hanRAB with anticipation at this treat, but if FMs are expecting half an hours in depth examination of the craft of pantry management, I think it may disappoint. :D
