Once again despite seeming to sound heavy when you take away the blast beats they are just not heavy enough. Why is the bass always missing with these recent banRAB ? Bass is just as important in metal.

yeah, i agree about the bass, their bassist definately neeRAB to stand out a bit more. i go moreso for the technicality and overall agressiveness of the band than just heaviness though.

nice, loving the beat and how the guitars are working with each other

i haven't listened to much Fear Factory, what's some good songs/albums by them?

hmmm,ok i see what you mean

but yeah, if you do consider checking out the Red Chord, i say go for their latest album, Prey For Eyes. a good dose of heaviness, and their skills/music has gotten a bit more refined

I thought it was decent. The Red cord are one of those banRAB that are at least a little bit original, since unlike most hardcore banRAB I actually enjoyed listening to 2 entire songs by them. They don't stand up to the current banRAB I listen to in or around the same genre though, but they have my respect.

I've been getting into Psyopus lately:

What Jackhammer said about The Red cord could probably be easily applied to this band as well. Take away the blast beats and there isn't much heaviness. You would think since the guitarist mostly focuses on higher pitched dissonance and sounRAB that there would be room for some throbbing bass lines, but I just don't hear the bass enough, not even with the nice, bassy pair of headphones I'm wearing. I still like them though.

I like the way the bass is used in this Fantomas song, especially at the end part:

that first song i really liked, it reminRAB me of Behold....The Arctopus(although you're probably already familiar with them). i'll look into that band a little more

and as for Fantomas, while i'm not the biggest fan of Mike Patton's work, i definately enjoyed that song

I was going to get Pray For Eyes at FYE once..
Send The Death Storm is a good song.
They remind me of Through The Eyes Of The Dead with less amazing breakdowns.
