The REAL drummer thread.

I know there is a thread on this.
But i want some less unheard of drummers that you think are good.
Cuz classic rock isnt the only genre out there.
List your top 1 or yer top 1242342354 dont care =/.

1. That guy from the the berzerker
2.Joey Jordison (Slipknot)
3.Dave Grohl (Nirvana)
4.Travis Barker (Blink 182)
5.Tommy Lee (Motley Crue)
6.Danny Carey (Tool)
7.Brendan Canty (Fugazi)
8.Blake RicharRABon (BTBAM)
9.Josh Freese (alot)
10.Igor Cavalera (Sepultura)
11.Derek Bloom (From First To Last)

I know your a major king crimson fan and all, I was wonderin what songs by them you would suggest i get that have some great drumming in them by bruford. I know he joined in '72 I think after he left Yes, but most of their stuff i have is pre '72

of that list, i like Jordison and Grohl, especially Grohl, i agree, he should be mentioned more often. Only heard a couple of 182 songs but i remeraber thinking the drummer wasn't bad. i've only heard one song by tool and i didn't really pay attention to the drums. haven't heard the others, well i've heard things about Tommy Lee....not necessarily good things, so i'll just say things.

Man i Had kaaza for the longest time and then all of the sudden all my songs were gone so i decided id go with Limewire...I like it better...my computer is so *** and everytime id finish dl'ing a song on Kaaza and id go back to my library it would freeze and then like do this messed up thing..

Josh Freese. Great choice.

Brad Wilk (RATM, Audioslave) Specifics: None, just a wicked drummer overall.
Brant Bjork (Kyuss and others) Specifics: Kyuss-800; Kyuss-50 Million Year Trip.
Phil Taylor (Motorhead) Specifics: Hellraiser, Speedfreak.
Matt Cameron (Mainly Pearl Jam and Soundgarden) Specifics: PJ-Alive; Soundgarden-Jesus Christ Pose.

They'd be my first four that I think truly miss out due to the old timers. Probably others better but these four made it to my mind first. Other mentions:

Dale Crover (Nirvana and Melvins)
Sean Kinney (AIC)
Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)
Tom Diello (Monster Magnet)

1. Joey Jordison ( Slipknot )
2. Dave Grohl ( Nirvana/Foo Fighters/Queens Of The Stone Age )
3. Ian Paice ( Machine Head )
4. Travis Smith ( Trivium )
5. John Dolmayan ( SOAD )
6. Jordan Mancino ( As I Lay Dying )
7. Dave Lorabardo ( Slayer )
8. Tommy Lee ( Motley Crue )
9. Brann Dailor ( Mastadon )
10. Aaron Gillespie ( Underoath )

As i play the drums myself these are the people that have influenced my playing
And even though i am a girl i can kick a lot of guys asses when it comes to rocking out on my drumkit
