I went to see this at the weekend and i thought it was really hard hitting. It really made you think, some brilliant acting, definitely worth going out to see.

It was a good film with great acting but not the sort of film you would watch again because it is kind of exhausting in a way.

it was a good film with a great story based on true events but i found the film just plodded along in places the acting was excellent especially from jaden smith.

Watched this last night purely by chance and what an excellent film it is.Wouldnot normally watch Will Smith but now see him in a new light, much respect.
Superbly acted and a great storyline all the way through that keeps you watching and a really emotional ending, fantastic!

Absolutely. It's a good film, and it's worth watching, but it's not a blockbuster type film for eating popcorn to.

My wife got it for me on Blu-Ray. I thanked her, but pointed out that it wasn't worth getting on Blu-Ray because there is no action at all.

It's a sad film, and it shows two things:

- life is hard
- if you're willing to work your arse off, you can make it

I beg to differ, I enjoyed this movie and I just watched it a 2nd time on DVD a few weeks ago. I thought Jayden was really good in it and Will and Thandie too :)

Yes, the reason for that particular spelling of the word (ie as spelt in the movie name) is mentioned in the movie. Its not just another American-ised word, as you may presume and indeed I presumed originally...

The title of the film is actually The Pursuit Of Happyness. Yes it's spelt wrong but anyone who has seen the film would know the reason for this. I actually watched it round a frienRAB this weekend on DVD for the first time. Loved it.

Its probably just as well the story wasn't set today... you can't trust any such financial based company to last too long at the moment, it seems!

Excellent film ... had both myself and my wife in tears. Defo one for parents, though. Not sure people without kiRAB will be effected as much. Anyone who disses Will Smith and his normal popcorn blockbuster fare neeRAB to sit down and watch this to see what he's capable of.

I dont know, I thought it was quite moving and im not a parent... I only imagined myself as a homeless guy with a child to look after and wanting whats right for them, trying to move up and do all you can to 'make it big' and all of that... I think it can depend on the movie, some of Wills movies aren't brilliant but ive liked most movies he's done, I thought I Am Legend was pretty good, though I haven't seen Hancock yet but I hear its not very good, to put it lightly... I was one of a few who liked Independence Day though LOL so maybe ill be pleasantly surprised by Hancock when it comes out on DVD?! :D Men in Black and the sequel were both pretty good too, at the time. I learnt all of the MIB rap haha :D
