A couple PS3s froze out of the hundreds of thousands...big deal. I don't plan on buying a PS3 due to the high price, but I do respect the engineering that went into it.

The only reason Cell is in the PS3 is because IBM tricked Sony into using it, therefore making them foot a large part of the bill on a processor IBM was developing for medical research. It's design was always meant to be for embedded medical devices and medical research, not games. The RSX isn't as good as the Xenos either, just like the 7900 wasn't as good as the X1900.
