Maybe that person would normally watch whatever is on ITV or Sky but has made the choice to watch the Proms based on a mild interest in Rogers and Hammerstein, I can't knock that.
Keeping the Proms too 'musically elitist' in content and guests leaves it open to criticism and in a way would be an utter failure
