The Princess Resurrection anime, is it good?

Been reading the manga and loving it and I wonder if the anime adaptation is as good as the source material.

Feedback will be apreciated.

You mean Monster Princess. Yes, the animes pretty cool. We're currently watching it at my anime club.

It feels...different. I dunno how to explain it well but when I went to pick up the manga AFTER watching the anime I found the princess to be too cruel in the manga compared to the anime where she's more...aloof. There's also less actual blood.

I didn't really get the same atmosphere from both.

You can always find some way to preview the first episode.

Like Undrave, I watched the anime first (heard about it and previewed it at Anime Boston 2009, later bought the whole series on DVD). Then I looked at the manga. I like the anime, it's very fun. The anime is a bit lighter than the manga.
Plus it has my favorite ending of any anime of all time.
EDIT: and by ending, I mean the song that goes with the credits, not the last episodes.

I've been checking online for the dvd's and only see 2 "DVD collection sets" released by ADV films, is the whole series in them or did ADV vanished before releasing all the episodes?

No, that's the whole series. It's fairly shot, and in two sets. Also, it's subtitle only, no dub.
