It's definitely a movie that you have to watch more than once to get everything. Even if you watch it a second time, I'm sure there's still stuff to miss.

I loved this movie. My bf really wanted me to see it and I really enjoyed it. It was totally a movie that you could get deeply involved into. Plus, there was major eyecandy in it too

Another thing that I love about the movie is Caine's narration. It so hypnotizing... especially in the end when he says, "you want to be... fooled." and then black out screen.

Whaaa! it has that effect on you that you have seen something special.

the prestige!!! i lovee christian bale and hugh jackman. and the movie was really good...and dave bowie was in this one!!! haha.=P i thought it was really good and i loved it. =DD

I can't wait to see this -- going to see it this week. Very impressed with number one at the box office with a full array of good movies out this weekend. Props to the film! Everyone I have talked to has only AMAZING things to say -- I hear it is very clever and makes you think. Really looking forward to this one...

This movie was way cool! I watched it the first time and was in awe at the end. And a bit confused. But then I understood it. I need to watch it again!

I've been rewatching this.....

It keeps getting better upon multiple viewings. I'm now so fascinated with Cutter.

One thing that I can't wrap my head around is Sarah's death. Why did she do it? The movie made it seem like had found out the secret, but she left her little girl behind. To me, Sarah was stronger than that.

The movie is terribly clever! :D

I do have to agree that it was Bale's performance that had me in a trance. He rarely lost his cool, and when he did, it was explosive. :D

Yes, I was also very impressed by his performance. Although it was probably Bale that had me wrapped around his finger, so to speak, for the entire movie. Strong performance right there!

I just love the way it was filmed, and the different intrigues that went on. I love how everything really was about all of the hidden agendas and the fact that they had us as an audience following the different intrigues and therefor sometimes blinded (that's all I can say without revealing too much to those that haven't seen it) :)

I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out!! Saw a trailer for it a little while ago and it looks really good, plus Nolan is behind it and he never disappoints me!

 Hellooooo Shannon, my fellow Balehead. :D

Michael Caine can nail practically anything.

I must admit it's gonna be weird seeing Caine's Cutter as a father-figure to Jackman's Angier. I'm so used to Batman Begins.

Scarlett Johansson meh. I haven't seen any of her movies, but according to my friends, she's not that great. :look: All I know is her British accent is pretty bad.

Honestly, and Michael Caine cast as the father figure type character, which he totally nailed in Batman Begins. Excellent.

Meh, Robert Angier. Jackman's character's been turned American and Johansson's British. Weird. :look:

Anyway, the novel, Christian Bale, and Chris Nolan are favorites of mine in their respective categories, so I'm obviously excited. A little more than two months to go. :D

Ooh - what a cast! Thanks so much for the thread!

It's clearly still in post production but I'll look forward to seeing it. :)

No thread about this. This movie looks like it's going to be awesome.
