i got the truck and the power steering quit. when i steer its really hard to turn the wheel i hope someone can tell me whats wrong
its a 2000 not a 200 ranger

First check the power steering belt. If thats not the problem check the fluid level in the pump. Also start the truck and make sure the pump is turning (look close and make sure the shaft going into the pump is turning). If everything checks out you will need to replace the pump

A thumbs down to warrior because a 2000 Ranger only has 1 belt regardless of engine option. 1 serpentine belt drives all of the accessories on these trucks.

Now the pump may be bad, but at the same time the power steering rack may be bad or not getting pressure through it. You didn't mention the mileage on the truck. It's not always the case, but possibly a power steering system flush can fix/remove any blockage in the steering system.
