The POSITIVE John Kricfalusi Thread

I do loves me some classic Ren and Stimpy. Even the Games Animation stuff, I enjoyed when it was on. I also like how he defends the early Hanna Barbera cartoons since so many people are quick to write them off. Even the latest George Liquor pitch with the "face in a can" wasn't that bad.

I actually do like skimming his blog, when he isn't devoting it to long ranting about this and that. He also spotlights a lot of talented, less heralded cartoonists--both current and past--and posts a lot of nice examples of their work. And despite my indifference to the shows he's produced, I don't deny that he's a helluva cartoonist, and he can draw circles around 3/4 of the animators currently out there right now.

On his blog, he does seem to admire artists who display solid draftsmanship skills as well as good "cartooning" skills, so I have to suspect that he must have the ability to work in a more "straight" style. But like you, I haven't seen any examples to indicate that decisively.

I see you need to lurk moar.

Drew Pickles=the YouTubian's Pedobear. He was made popular by a long dead video group known as The Barney Bunch, which trolled Newgrounds years and years ago. The Barney Bunch itself has turned into more of an internet meme than a defunct troll organization, and---yeah, this all probably sounds weird.

I used to make Barney Bunch videos [not official ones] under my YouTube account WizzyBoy520. You may go there to see what I'm talking about...but it's kinda disturbing.
