One may have the finest education money can buy but be spiritually ignorant.Financially secure ,but spiritually bankrupt.Run their own business ,but be spiritual unemployed.Without Christ we have nothing. We make many attempts to figure out God.The real reason is that unrighteousness of those that are not poor and of the poor themselves is the cause of poverty.Sin distorts are relationship with God ,with each other and the world. Our relationships do not work for our well-being and the result is poverty racism and other expressions of injustice. Church members pick and choose whom they will serve. That is not being like Christ. We insult God by not considering his words of truth. After all if mankind was doing their job caring for the poor and not abusing the system then there would not be any poor. the greatest blessing anyone can get from God is to get the revelation that they are destitute spiritually. It is not a beatitude of being poor. Matthew 5.There is no poverty in heaven.God never intended the world to be a world of scarcity. God is incapable of putting us in a place of inability for him to provide life and life abundantly.God gives us conditions to his promises. If we seek and obey his words of truth.Jesus said what he said because of self-righteous people misreading the devotion of the Church.Because of the sin in the human heart and the curse of a fallen creation means that God's world as it is ,will never be what it was intended to be. Jesus statements about the poor was intended to shame us. It is about seeking God for answers. So we pray God we see you!
