The Polar Express

I watched the Polar Express most of it on Sky Movies the other day and i have to say its a fantastic film, so entertaining and exciting ride.

Tom Hanks role is cool.
 
It is an excellent film, I loved it. Probably more than my son did/does. Watched it a couple of times again over Christmas. It's a great Christmas film.

I absolutely love the train out of control sequence, it's like a rollercoaster ride and the waiters dancing was outstanding, I wish there would have been more of that. I have to admit a blub at the end when Santa appears and when the little lad goes back home to find it all lit up and his present is there.

I just love Tom Hanks anyway and find that anything he is in turns out to be a great film and to find a film where he plays most of the parts, it just had to be outstanding.
 
I rented this earlier in the year not knowing what to expect, all I'd seen was a brief trailer and I was pleasantly surprised; the cinema trailer really didn't do the film justice. It's very entertaining, great animation (I read that the actors portrayed the characters as if it was a live action film and then the animation was super-imposed on top) and great voice work from Hanks.

The only bit that slightly let it down was that sentimental song the three children performed on the train - that was a bit too saccharine for me! But overall very good.
 
My son got it for his birthday just before Christmas, he kept on at me to watch it with him and tbh,i wasnt too keen. But eventually i did and i just loved it, it's a magical film and i had a lump in my throat a couple of times too.
 
I think its better then shrek and shrek 2 The Polar Express i find it more addictive to watch then any other animated movie i have seen etc, shrek, shrek 2 and ice age its a magical movie should be watched by everyone over christmas its so lovely.
 
The Polar Express is my favourite children's book - I could never read the final bit without having to take a deep breath first! My hubby bought the DVD for me Christmas 2005 but I only watched it on Christmas Eve 2006. I was frightened it would ruin the book for me, but I was so wrong - it was fantastic.
 
We have a tradition of watching it every year on xmas eve !! the perfect xmas film IMO.this was our 3rd year and this year was on the PJ and it looked amazing.
when santa arrives makes me cry and the helpers singing.
