Does anyone remember the Pink Panther series, with Matt Frewer voicing Pink? I recall it not being that bad, even if the mute character was given a voice (Matt did a really good job imho)
 
I mainly remember seeing bits of pieces of it on my way to work. As I recall, there were some new recurring characters who appeared in some of the shorts, like a black boy named Lester and a little girl named Thelma who was voiced by Kath Soucie in every short she appeared in except one. I also vaguely remember the Dogfather, Louie and Pug appearing from time to time.
 
The Ant and the Aardvark made appearances in the series as well. John Byner reprised his role.

The Dogfather was another series DePatie-Freleng produced, being theatrically released by United Artists in the mid-seventies. Louie was voiced by Daws Butler.

The design of Dogfather in the Pink Panther series was greately changed from the one in the original series.
 
Ah that show. I really enjoyed it.

I remember when it first came on, and at the end of the opening title, I screamed and shock when I head Pink talk.
