The Orphanage

Watched this late last night with the missus as part of our nod to Halloween. Anyone else here seen it? We were absolutely gobsmacked. It's a beautifully written Spanish language ghost story in the vein of The Others, and I won't say anything to spoil it but it kept us guessing to the end, and left us in tatters afterwarRAB. If you liked Pan's Labyrinth you'll love this.

What did you think?

It IS one of the best horror/supernatural films to come out lately, fantastic film. I cried towarRAB the end. Definitely add it to your dvd collection.

I bought it yesterday. After Lewis Hamilton wins the F1 title, I may pop it in my player. I have a lot of foreign language films, including the trio of Cronos, Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth already

I would like to also recommend [REC] as something to watch after The Orphanage (although it is a slightly different kind of horror)

I loved Pan's Labrynth and love horror in general- but this was one of the most disapointing films I've ever watched I'm afraid to say! :(

i thought it was pretty lame, it didnt scare me at all and i expected so much more, that stupid woman annoyed me as well, if i was her husband id have been out of there a lot sooner

It's a beautiful film. The cinematography is amazing and the story is good. I was incredibly upset at the end, and there were bits in it that terrified me. Very good for a couple of jumps!
