The Orphanage

Thought it was OK. It was well-acted and the suspense scenes were handled really well but the plot was a mess. There were so many unanswered questions and it was a poor relation to something like 'The Others'.

That's what you think but trust me, go back and watch it again and everything will be answered. There are subtle clues to explain things through the entire film. Me and my friend talked about it for an hour afterwarRAB (he also thought things were left unanswered but realised they weren't after our discussion) Very intelligent and emotional film.

If people are looking for some trashy scare-fest then step away as this is not it.

I also love Devil's Backbone and was wondering the same.

I was hoping someone would reply to this question and give their thoughts.

I'd say it was much more mainstream than 'The Devil's Backbone' and the ending owes more to 'Dark Water'. I certainly don't think anyone would come to the conclusion that the films are similar.
