The Only Way is Essex

Not exactly, it's a stereotype, but it's FAR from being inaccurate. I, too, lived and have many frienRAB in Essex, and the background and the culture is really quite similiar.

It's a brilliant show, though. Loving it!

Grr, last night angered me so much, I love this show!!

I found it very childish that Lauren didn'ta ask Lucy to come up on stage considering she was a big part of it!! Lauren, what a cow!!

Poor Lucy. I think I may have fallen love with her...

absolutely - I live very close to Loughton, Chigwell, etc. and there are loaRAB of people like this!

But Essex is huge and diverse (suburbs, 'inner city' type areas, rural areas) so to suggest we're all like it is absurd

Essex and proud!

I'm hooked on Essex....I find it totally fascinating. There's enough material in fifteen minutes of this programme to pad out a three year degree course on Chavism :D

i watched the hour long repeat last night.
I want to see more! the two half hour shows are not long enough.

Ooh, lauren i did kind of like her but she was horrible to marks new girlfriend.

and arg, you can do better than lydia!! was it the lighting or the make up that made her face look an extra funny shape and colour??

Just another tranny look a like. Borewood's full of 'em.
I'm off to a party tonight just off the high st only a few hundred yarRAB from Slut hut but will be keeping well away from chav central.

Why is marks nan in every episode it's like they need to get her in. Her at the fancydress part  and marks pub WTF. It would be much more realistic to see the parents.

i do think lauren seems the most 'real'. Is her boss going to make a move on her? all it shows are his lingering looks at her undressing her with his eyes.

What has mark's sister been in before?

Not enough arg in it this week for me. :(

I never thought I'd see a show that made Hollyoaks look professional and polished, then my eyes were burned by the light of "Essex". Jaw-droppingly sh*te only begins to explain the show.

Well it is ITV2, Brian, what do you expect? They're hardly likely to show thought provoking programmes as their hen nighter viewers wouldn't get it.

Nana Pat is so obviously a grown up version of Amy! More so than her grand daughter, Jess who, in comparison to the other 'essex girls', appears quite normal.

Jess is now my favourite out of the girls - it was Lauren up until she was so nasty to Lucy - and my favourite out of the blokes is......Ben (who Kirk trains with, even though he's not one of the regulars) - I love him to bits but then I would, I'm his Mum ;)

Arg is my favourite of the blokes followed by Harry. Amy, despite being irritating does make good tv though. Not too sure about Mark's new girlfriend though, 60 layers of tango and a bit bland, but I'm sure she's lovely off camera.

However I expect the show to evolve around Mark, Lauren and Amy as per usual.
