A relative who will play games over a LAN with me. All my friends have one, or two, but I don't. I mainly want it because it would be a wonderful bonding experience, but no one in my family gives a shit about games.

The newest game my mom will play is Sonic (the old 2D ones). The newest game my dad will play is Centipede.

Am I fucked, or what?

Seriously, you could just try introducing them to it. Just because they've never played it or cared about it doesn't mean they can't pick up a new hobby (and bond at the same time).
 
I have a cool uncle thats is really good at computers.He builds computers and knows alot about computers. He built my first computer. Jstager came to my house on my birthday to have a lan party. It was a blast, me, my uncle, my brother, Jstager, and Jstagers brother played Quake 3 Demo. It was so most ownage. My uncle built computer when computers first started. Hes a cool uncle to have around.
 
I've tried. It's fucking hopeless. My dad really hates my culture. I've tried getting him to sit down and play some, but he refuses every time.

I'll try again though...he loves movies, so he should love Doom 3. It's fucking cinematic.

I remember like good old times, when my brother and dad used to play on n64.
Zelda was one of the best hits for n64.
Even Legend of Zelda for SNES was the greatest.
I dont judge games by graphics, I judge games by game physics.
