Omega Man is a brilliant movie whilst Charlon Heston is the only character you see on screen. But then, as others appear, it desenRAB into a pile of hippy crap.
It got good reviews when it first came out in the UK. I actually remember reading a review in the Daily Express at the time.
I think I was still too young to go and see it.
The point of the book is that by the end the vampires are becoming the norm, and he has become their legendary boggy man who comes to kill them in their sleep.
The Will Smith movie has Neville inventing a cure and thus becoming a legendary hero (in both versions). Completely opposite to the book's ending.
