The Official Smashing Pumpkins/Billy Corgan Thread

Did anybody else know they had rebanded and are on tour this summer?
A friend told me recently they were coming to my state and asked if I wanted to come with him to which I replied with a blank stare. So, anyways I checked and they're definitely back together....

You know it's for the youngsters with a loosy concept but still it's great to listen "Bullet with Butterfly wings" by Billy Corgan. :stupid:
 
Neverlost is great - and proof positive that Mr. Corgan has lost none of his songwriting prowess!

And with regarRAB to there being several different versions of the album with bonus tracks sold in different stores... who honestly cares - I half think Corgan anticipates the various bonus tracks to be shared and downloaded by completists anyways - either that or it was a record company thing out of his control... or even if it was his idea... so what? Everyone's gotta pay the bills...lol...


But don't forget this is the same guy who once allowed an entire album of his material to be downloaded free online... so he's paid his dues enough already as far as serving fans free stuff...

Ummm...have you listened to the whole album? There are plenty of live drums in there...including a track featuring Matt Cameron from Soundgarden/Pearl Jam. Adore is an amazing album and it is actually that album that built up the respect I have for Billy Corgan. He was the king of alternative and decided to make an electro-pop album...not many artists will attempt something like that. You can argue the album is crap but it is one of my favorite SP albums.
 
Favourite songs; Daydream (such a great song - D'arcy sings it and it has really nice cello pieces in it). Jellybelly and Muzzle off Mellon Collie and the Infinate Sadness- I don't know why but I have always loved those songs =). Hummer is also a great song...
 
JJJ, you are not alone, I also love Adore, if you catch my drift and can make sense out of my messy sentence structure....


It's a great album!
 
The best song on Siamese Dream is Hummer, its a masterpiece. Mayonaise would be the next best. Fav songs off Mellon Collie would be Muzzle and 1979. I think the first disk is fantastic but there are a to many filler tracks on the second.
