The Official Smashing Pumpkins/Billy Corgan Thread

Besides, without Iha and either Wretsky or Auf der Maur its not a true Pumpkins reunion, and I refuse to accept it as such.

The only thing that is gonna differentiate Zeitgeist from Corgans solo stuff will be the contributions of Charaberlin.

Theres probably a thread on this already.
BUT...

I like smashing pumpkins.
Gish is a good album.
I also like meloncollie & the infinate sadness.

Fav songs: Today & 1919 & tonight,tonight.

did you listen to their first ever show at the metro? it sounRAB like some weird iron maiden/cure hybrid that just doesn't work at all. the reason is because they wrote those songs without jimmy and he added such a powerful element that when they wrote later songs it added so much power they had to be more of a "rock" band.

mashed potatoes is awesome...you should check that out as well

These guys?

Siamese dream has always been my favorite. I bought Melancholy when it first came out and i was happy with it. True they change there sound alittle, but not as much as adore. I was a little **** when that came out and i was thrilled that it peeked like it did. I never liked a group at that time that gained so much success. Maybe thats what changed the sound so much maybe. Melancholy overrated...yeah, So isnt nirvana: Nevermind?
