The Official Rage Against The Machine thread

Finally picked up the Live & Rare and quite like it. I was hoping for a few more songs, but still am very content with it.

I have yet to get Renegades since I have only heard negative reviews on it, however, I suppose as a fan I should obtain as much of their music as possible.

Nightwatchmen is pretty good. Moses made a thread or something a while ago. So looking forward to that release. I'd like for ratm to stay dead, audioslave to go away and chris to realize he hasn't done anything worth mentioning in 15 years.

So everyone I had searched and I couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd start one, so who likes this band?? I think they're great, if you like them post why and your favourite songs and such

Favourite song: Guerilla Radio

Yay! for one I am happy that they're back together, Audioslave were going very sour. It'll be good to see if they can bring out any more material as good as their old albums!

Pardon moi for the mistake, naa 'Live at the Olympic Auditorium' is the last thing thats been released by them, and it was after they broke up anyway.

Don was a guy that hated every band that ever existed.

Except Dream Theater, whom he worshiped.

He has since been banished, ending his reign of darkness on Music Banter.

Plenty of bootlegs out there , I suggest the Acoustic Jams 2 disc set

His acoustic playing might be good but his folk playing skills are laughable judging by the 3 songs I heard him play live.

i love rage, i'm not quite sure why you'd think their name sounRAB punk, but lets not go into that again. yeah, they are political, but so what? if thats what they wanted to 'sing' to people about, then so be it.

I cannot decide if the first or The Battle of Los Angeles is their best album. Yes I am a fan. I think their music is very distinct and produced brilliantly. It is their actual sound as much as anything. Everything is so muscular and well defined. La Rocha's voice is not the best but tracks such as Sleep Now In The Fire and Know your Enemy have so much energy.

Soundgarden is one of my favorite banRAB of all time, and Rage Against the Machine will always hold a special place in my heart, but I don't really like Audioslave. I saw them over the summer and they got the largest reaction covering some Rage songs, and Cornell kind of butchered them.
