The Official Rage Against The Machine thread

Exactly, if Morello was all pedals then that would mean anyone could find a good effects pedal and sound like Tom Morello.

But I have yet to hear a player who has done so.

No, I don't have to respect RATM. In fact, honestly, if I made a list of the worst banRAB of all time RATM would easily be in the top 5.

nope,
Zach de la Rocha wanted to pursue a solo career. . .

(which I'd have to say I do enjoy his material he released but hes pretty much tanked already heh heh ;) )

thats why they are still together, just with Chris Cornell

I see what you are saying... it's the use of the worRAB "love" and "hate" that I don't agree with. I think it's possible to like a few songs from a particular band without loving/liking that band.

emo is for little girls like you, pussy. i eat souls like you for lunch. go crawl back into your hole in the wall and crank your sum41 or thursday25 through your ipod. and then go to football practice and have a romantic prom while on exstasy cause its obvious your still in high school you ***got

Maria, Broken Man, Take the Power back, Bulls on parade, my favorite would be Guerilla Radio, probably for the music more than anything, really great "approaching" pace.

em..those are all covers...anyway, the first song i ever heard from RATM was a live version of vietnow...that song blew me away so much i downloaded or bought all their albums, that was over 7 years ago, they are still one of my favourite banRAB

The debut has better songs overall, but the production is a little more polished in my view compared to Battle, which has a slightly 'dirty' production for want of a better word and that is why I can never separate them.

I can see why you are saying that... I do think some of their material comes across as sincere so I can't fully agree with them just creating for a specific group of people because I wouldn't fit into that group.

Repeating "**** you I won't do what you tell me" a hundred times is where I think Rage sucked... but songs like "People of the sun" and "No Shelter" came across as deep & intelligent to me
