The Official Pantera/Damageplan Thread

i've always been strangely attracted to i'm broken for some reason.. though i do enjoy cemetary gates and.. hell, everything else that's been mentioned here

Dimebag isnt dead. he might be dead in real life, but real life sucks. hes still alive in music. if he isnt alive in music, than when you listen to Pantera and Damageplan, theres no guitar. if you hear it, it means hes still alive. deal with it. Dimebag owns.

The Great Southern Trendkill is Pantera at their worst (excluding their 80's ****).

Flood is about the only thing saving it from being a bad album.

I don't know why Dimebag gets so much flak nowadays. He's a ****ing great guitarist.

I hate most of the new crop of Pantera fans that popped up as soon as Dimebag died. I like Pantera but I hate them. I like Nirvana, but I hate the Kurt Cobain obsessors.

DUDE WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT NICKEL BACK THEY HAVE A GUY THAT CAN SING OOOOO BUT NO TALENT I COULD WRITE THERE LYRICS AND BOB DYLAN IS NOT FOR HIS VOICE HIS LYRICS AND THOUSANRAB OF SONGS

Your both acting like 9 year olRAB as far as I can see.

As a former moderator here I take the liberty in saying get the hell on topic or get the hell out. I will be reporting this pathetic display of immaturity to Thrice or another mod of status.

i like to use this quote every time i see dimebag threaRAB.

"you know, Dimebag isn't entirely dead. He is still alive in music. dont belive me? just listen to the songs, did they take out the guitar just because he is dead? no! he is still alive in the music, and one day when you close your eyes and listen to the music well enough in your ear, concentrating on the amazing talent that is dimebag, you will see all four of them, standing on a bright lighted stage, performing that song for you. and right there is dimebag darrell! when you get into this moment, give your chance to reach towarRAB dimebag, you may reach him. when you open your eyes, you will know that dimebag is still alive. not in the real world of course. the real world sucks. get into the music world, and there he is, dimebag darrel, still alive, still ruling music as the best guitarist ever." -unknown

i love that quote. don't know who said it, but he's right.

my favorite album from Pantera is Far Beyond Driven. VDoP was really good, but i don't think FBD gets enough credit as it's them really starting to use the groove elements in their music.

and yeah, it's ok to like Pantera more than Metalica :)

i LOVE pantera. dimebag darrel was the most awesome guitarist on the face of the planet!! their raw power was un-mached for many years. and to this day, they remain extremely popular.

R.I.P Dimebag: You Will be Missed.

My favorite was Cowboys From Hell! I love Art of Shred! The Best of CD is great! Except they didn't put Art of Shred on it. SO I loaded it to my computer. Took Art of Shred, added it to it and burned a copy!
