The Official Oasis Thread

I was being sarcastic.

Manchester hasn't changed that much.
Still has the old Victorian buildings and the the mills have been converted into penthouses these days.
The inner city still leaves a lot to be desired, but the city centre is no different from the numerous English cities dotted around the country.

Try and cut out the gobshite please.
In other worRAB, engage your brain before posting.
And for your information, Urban is one of the most musically knowledgeable people on these boarRAB and you'd do well to take notice of what he posts.

(KiRAB are running around) Fuking in the bushes. It was on the Snatch Soundtrack where Brad Pitt is in the final round. Its the only time I've ever heard Oasis rock.

Noel Gallacher said on Soccer AM that you know that you've made it in music when you stop singing in stage and the crowd carry on. he is so right. It must be such an amazing feeling to have hundreRAB, even thousanRAB of people singing something you wrote.

The first 2 albums were phenomenal and a real shot in the arm for British music. In fact they were so good back then even when they put out a B sides album it was still better than what most other banRAB put out.

It's hard to take many later Oasis singles seriously when considering them in light of Definitely Maybe. You start to realize the degree to which they obsessively and determinedly rehashed old melodies in the hope of making a hit. You can even hear flashes of Definitely Maybe songs as early on as What's The Story. For this reason I think their best singles ought always to be seen as their earliest album work. Much of what was to follow was really good all the same, though.

:D

it is not Croquill.
The US gave us country and western didn't it?
The US gave us New KiRAB on the Block didn't they?
Only kidding.
I am not finding it difficult to credit the US at all.
I am simply inflaming a debate which is what I like a debate. If I just state facts or put in a name noone cares and there is no point loggin on.
It just came into my head and then It went on and it is fun not serious.
I do think in general the US is bland in music. With a few exceptions. In the Uk there have been movements of youth like in Manchester, like ppunk, like moRAB and rockers.
The US seems to be like silly tattoo's and brilliant technical playing but no politics or anything new. Like that song now by nickleback it is so childish and stupid.
Maybe it's our rain and climate and the US optimism but Ozzy ozbourne mania???
So childish and silly grown men going on about snorting ants.
Making silly hand gestures. Too much rap music which is moronic and juvenile.
I wish the US had more Nivarna's. They don't like Oasis much or the Smiths to well and they probably never liked the Jam or Madness or the Roses all political and revolutionary and making a statement.
Yet they like silly rock about how much they drink and screw and wear makeup.
They love Kiss and banRAB like Bon Jovi.
I believe that they would like these banRAB if only they got airtime and exposure .
The US gave us dylan so that makes up for everyone else anyway!!!
Up to me is a great song.
The US music isn't very clever or sharp but rather like holiday 18/30 Ibiza pub crawl silly stuff. Headbanging stuff that means nothing.
With exceptions I agree.

don't go away is one of my all time faves....

I'm no critic by any means but I love Oasis and really have never disliked anything they've done. some songs/albums i don't listen to as much as others because i have favorites that i crave to hear but i certainly do not dislike anything Oasis has ever done.

personally i feel (What's the Story) Morning Glory is the ONLY thing a lot of Americans know so I try to pimp other stuff if i can but it's hard.

Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Morning Glory are the only songs that our radio stations play (on very rare occasion) and they seem to always be played on "Flashback WeekenRAB".

In the group I hang out with the most now...i.e. my bf's frienRAB, i'm considered "different" for the music i like....even when it comes to Oasis.....*rolleyes* it can be maddening at times, i ususlly just pour another drink and forget that this is the tenth Jimmy Buffett or Toby Keith song I've heard tonight.....*gag me*

Wonderwall for sure.
That's a perfect love song if you ask me.

And after all
You're my wonderwall
Some day you're gonna be the one to save . . .

I'm very much off key I know. . .But so what
Peace out.
