In a different world I'd hold people at gun point and ask what they didn't understand. Sorry, it just drives me nuts when I can read something just fine and no one else can. I'll try this one again...

Nirvana sounRAB like the most boring **** these days. We've heard the same 7 to 10 songs on Modern Rock Radio for the past 18 years. People forget that they had songs like "Territorial Pissings" and "School" and think its all "in Bloom" and "Durab."

Nirvana could be pretty raw and interesting if you aren't stuck listening to the Beatles rehash. Not that I don't like those songs, but I really enjoy the other side of Nirvana. My lsit would look like this...

*(I know its on the radio but it sucks less than most of their songs)

And what I was trying to do was say this, if you listen to the right songs they could sound like a noise/garage/punk band, make a playlist that displays this.
 
Hmmm, well I wouldn't say their lyrics are "garbage" , I think they meant something to him, but.....whatever, they didn't mean much to me :laughing:
 
Right on, I see where you're coming from. I was just making sure you weren't one of those "Nirvana sold out and signed with Geffen when they put out Nevermind" kind of people.

I tend to prefer In Utero to Nevermind myself.
 
I agree with you... now i dont know if this is true... but i heard somewhere that they had evidence that Love hired a hit-man to kill kurt... but i dont know if its true...so.... yeah... i dont want to start an argument like i have in the past on this subject
 
As I said, Cobain was the Messiah of Grunge. In otherworRAB, the saviour who has pushed it forward and made it popular. Dave Grohl is the disciple because he has taken what Kurt did into new realms.
 
Yeah how dare those bastarRAB at Geffen FORCE him to sign a record contract , FORCE him to use a big name producer and FORCE him to write more commercial songs.
 
Since this thread is full of spamage lets start talking about Kurt. What would Kurt's job been if he wasn't in Nirvana and wasn't involved in music? I say that he would own an ice cream truck and be a child molester.
 
I personally love them, their in my top 5, but sometimes I think people take what they did for rock music for granted. They may not have been a band that was around for 25 years and made 20 albums, but what they did for rock music today is unignorable. Can you imagine what rock music would be like if they had've never came around? I realize they may be a tad overrated, but thaty doesn't make them bad. In my opinion, there are 2 kinRAB of Nirvana fans. Those who like Smells Like Teen Spirit, and those who like all their music. So what do you guys think about them?
