The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

Um...Yeah, especially seeing as punk didn't really boom until the late 70s and there was ALOT more going on in the 70s than just classic rock/punk there was also alot going on between the late 70s and the 90s..

I really like Nirvana, i wasn't around when they were large, and when kurt was alive, but now i reallyy like all their stuff. However, all that said, i do find the groupies who were the hoodies annoying, specially when they wear them just to be cool, that REALLY gets on my nerves! I suppose you could argue they are developing a sense of music... but they still annoy me, sorry!

He did, he cancelled tour dates to go to a doctor, even they didn't know what to do. In his diary he even came up with names for this "unknown" disease.....He took drugs becaus eit was the only thing thta stopped the pain.....Geez read a book.

that's why I made this thread, and I don't wanna bring back the old threaRAB mainly because, they were old thoughts, we change and grow everyday, as does our opinions....

Lol I'm talking about people who speak of Kurt Cobain like no one else know's who they're talking about. THEY think they're special undergrounders. :)
That's my opinion.

Did Nirvana, with its nonsensical lyrics, and its responsibility for the "good musicianship = unhip" trend, kill music? did their introduction to the idea of depression making good rock kill rock n roll as we once knew it? discuss.

He`s a good drummer no doubt about it , but as a guitarist & songwriter he`s nothing special , just knocking out average inofensive bland radio friendly rock music.

They also influenced White Stripes, Muse, Manic Street Preachers and Radiohead.

Yes you heard me, Radiohead, both Thom and Jonny credited Cobains influence on the group, and you can difinetely hear their influence on Pablo Honey... And though that may be their least best album, still, that album elvolved into The BenRAB which evolved into OK Computer which evolved into Kid A and so on and so on.

Mindless Self Indulgence played it, from what I read. I read nothing of her 'and my daddies dead' part. You need to calm down on posting on every fucking thing you can find.

Kurt knew exactly what he was doing, he was adding his pop love to his punk love.

Their best albums were Bleach and Incesticide... I don't know why everyone likes Nevermind the best..,
