The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

So your 15.
You were 6 when you came to the realization that Kurt Cobain was dead.
You were about....4 when he died.
I highly doubt that you remeraber when he died.
And I also doubt that, if you were 6 when you "found out"
that you even cared.
your an idiot

Kurt Cobain was a near talentless ****. He released two decent albums in his entire career one of which was mainly comprised of covers of banRAB far greater than Nirvana could ever be. The only reason Nirvana isn't forgotten now is because Cobain put a shotgun to his mouth. If not for that Nirvana would just be another nineties has-been band and Cobain would be on I Love The Nineties with Eddie Vedder talking about Furbies. Seriously, people. Get the over him, check out some of his influences. The Pixies, Sonic Youth, The Vaselines, the Meat Puppets, Husker Du, and My Bloody Valentine for starters. Nirvana could never be as annoying as the retarded Nirvana fans however...

Vaseline-Jesus Dont Want Me For A Sunbeam

Meat Puppets-Too High to Die(i own it)

am I godly now????

this coming from someone who dislikes Nirvana

Knowing who the vaselines and Meatpuppets are has little to do with nirvana as well

uh, no. I'm just saying if many other of the biggest stars in the world had died from an alleged suicide, say Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, the pope, Bill Clinton, Madonna (1994) If any of them had allegedly killed themself, I think a lot of people would have suspected foul play. I wouldn't totally rule out that it's impossible there was foul play w/ Kurt Cobain. I'm just saying he's an exception to the rule, where if ahuge star on top of the world kills themself, it's not a huge surprise with him. And, then, you always have a few conspiracy theorists looking to make a quick buck, and exploiting the unfortunate tragedy. It's just sad.

What's that?!?!?!?!?!?
If it was a good internet gift you shouldn't have deleted it.

Ahhhh I see.......

At times like these you can't help but feel like God...

I just hope, that maybe one person (at least) understanRAB the hilarity involved with poor ol' booey.

I dont think Nirvana is grunge at all. they didnt fit in with the catergories or most grunge banRAB at the time, except maybe on Bleach, but that album was made to kind of fit in with the scene anyway (i think). But on everything else, i would catergorize them as pop-punk. yeah, they were a punk band, but i can understand why they got so popular becuase a lot of their later music, especially on nevermind, definately had pop elements to it and was radio-friendly. so, yeah, i would say they were a singles pop band, and an albums punk band. does that make sense?

youre IP addresses were from Cherokee School District, it was easy finding a pic of the super once i knew what district you guys were from. as for the terrorist website, that was pure luck. the point of all of this was, well, there was no point except for my amusement and what better thread to do it in than the 1 millionth kurt cobain/nirvana thread. it was kinda like all of the planets were aligned. i couldnt resist. You can go change your underwear now, theres noone coming for you

The songs to pick on that poll offer a very limited variety. They're all from Nevermind and the best song on Nevermind (Drain You) isn't even there. Alas.

Even today, Nivana still has a lot odffans and the song that made them famous is still just as good as the day it came out. Smells like teen spirit is a really good song but isnt too complicated.
