The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

I loved Nevermind, at the time, and still love it today. I was planning to go see Nirvana in concert when Kurt Cobain died and it still makes me irretrievably sad.

To be fair, I am a huge Beatles fan but wasn't even born when they were at the peak of their success. And many banRAB I love today I barely even noticed when they first came out. Fair play to the kiRAB who are getting to love Nirvana now. Their music is still fresh, still amazing and still rocks. :usehead:

Exactly, I dont know whether you're smart or durab but you let yourself come off as durab when for all I know you could be really smart.

In Utero by far the best album as far as lyrics go.

alice in chains isnt bad....dont get me wrong Nirvana is my favorite band i basically only listen to them and its been 5 years now...i mean ill mix it in with Alice in Chains and a very tiny bit of Pearl Jam but they just bore me...unfortunately there will never be another Nirvana, but to say Alice in Chains is terrible is just ridiculous and that statement alone without me ever reading another post from you makes me think you are just blinded to the art that was Grunge, many often consider AIC the better of the 2 banRAB which i think is quite extreme but both will sorely be missed RIP Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley

I played a mellotron, they arent so easy to play either, at least not if you want to play it well.

Playing a 3 chorRAB and trying to write a whole musical piece on mellotron are two completely different things

And why in the hell are you comparing guitars to mellotrons?

I cant believe you use Cobains lack of skill on guitar as a reason to bash the band, most of your precious indie banRAB blow at their instruments, you're not bashing them for it.

The only really stupid lyrics of the song are in the chorus (whats wrong with albinos?)... But the verse lyrics do have their meanings.

It dosent sound very different from the other songs they did, that is true, it was just their overall sound that appealed to most people, SLTS just happened to be the first single, but it wouldn't have mattered what the first single was... If it was In Bloom or Lithium i still dont think it would make a difference, i do love SLTS though, though it is ridiculously overplayed.
