The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

ArtistInTheArabulance???? Are you feeling okay? "Either of you??" Do you think I'm trying to get a last word??? Wtf? You can tell him I'm messing with him if you like but there goes my fun. I don't get what I'm doing wrong, I think that last post summed it up, he said I've been arguing...do look over my posts will you? What a silly boy. Probably the most ironic thing in history; he puts me on ignore, yet he continues to post to me?

And just 'cause you say I'm pretending, doesn't make it true, are you saying you know me or something? How can someone possibly not find this funny? I've got him all riled up and he hasn't the slighest clue.

But theres already a term for that, "Alternative", making "Indie" very unnecessary as a musical term... I call Pixies, Sonic Youth, Flaming Lips, Wilco and banRAB of the like Alternative, not Indie.

Then again, I'm funny that way, I actually do use Indie as a term, I call good Alternative banRAB Alternative, I call bad Alternative banRAB Indie, lol.

EDIT: Oh you got me there, if Indie is a genre than Pop can't be either... Wow, I got owned, what can I possibly say in response?............ Oh yeah, I just remerabered, Pop isn't a genre either.

Not a fan of Nirvana. I never got into grunge and that whole "look how much angst I have even though I'm a normal dude with a normal family."

The whole scene was far from legit. When Bon sang "I've got the down payment blues..." he really did have the down payment blues. When grunge kid got into the look they were cattle. I really don't like the people that went through the phase. Weak.

Bashing on Nirvana is frequently seen everywhere. It seems as though it has turned more in favor to do the above mentioned than judge them for your self. Judging by most of the posters in this threaRAB opinions. I can see two categories, blind support, with out the necessary criticisms or critique, or in depth view, or pure disdain for them, due to borrowed musical sound. I find Nirvana to be an appealing band, though some songs are skippable, and sub par, pour example In bloom, or Polly. Polly is good however, outdone to an extent, as is the case with most songs in the writing manner of Polly.

We would have it, but in a different form. Tommy's playing didn't just influence metal! He influenced many people and many genres.

Like The Smiths didn't just influence indie.
Like The Pixies didn't just influence alternative.
Like The Beatles didn't just influence pop.

But in all honesty, I can name 10's of Ozzy songs... I can name one Dio... and that's because Killswitch covered it.

Kurt didnt want to be super famous, but he did want to make good out of his career, hence the move to geffen.

Tons of banRAB do it without being considered sellouts, like Radiohead.

Wow aparently I use to big of a vocabulary because I went way over your head with that last one, I'll put it in SIMPLE terms, Kurt Cobain would be ashamed to be on any forums with metal included in the title.
I never said that the forum was called Rock-metal. I said it had metal in the title.
