The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

I read the article....This sucks, but she does have a point....What would her daughter do with bags of flannel shirts?
I don't know but still this is messed up sheez.

I have to agree that courtney did not kill Kurt. It's absurd. However, anyone who ever read about Kurt Cobain would know that he was never on top of the world. He was in pain and if he did kill himself, there was legitimacy behind it.

i edited a little bit hopefully it's a little easier on the eyes now lol.

as for in utero being over produced, yeah probably in the end. to my understanding it started out as a really raw recording done by steve albini i think. when it was brough to the label they didn't like and supposedly a whole argument ensued between how nirvana wanted the record to sound and how the label wanted it to sound. it was then remixed but i believe a few of the songs kinda kept more of that raw tone.

How in the bloody hell did you become a mod again?

I mean moRAB should at least be required to you know, not say something completely stupid several times a day.

I love Nirvana. Only started listening to them last year but man they rock!

Funny, I listened to the Foo Fighters before Nirvana...

Smells Like Teen Spirit s an awesome song... but after being able to play it I've become rather sick of it.

I have Nevermind, MTV Unplugged and The Greatest Hits.

If Grunge is just a movement and not a stylistic entity, then the matter is settled by answering the following question:

Did Nirvana and in particular Cobain really identify with the grunge movement? 'Cause a nuraber of fans claim that Cobain never really wanted anything to do with grunge and didn't see Nirvana as a part of it; that the only reason Nirvana was grouped with grunge was because they happened to be from Seattle; that the term "grunge", in respect to Nirvana, was just used as a promotional vehicle and for commercial enRAB, in other worRAB, because they could; and so forth.

Not saying that is correct, just what some do claim.

no, more about how no one here backs up a damn thing they say.

i mean, right here, watch how you dodge the post i pointed out by accusing me of being something im not.

what the hell.. its not what you do with them, dick'ed.
ugrh. i couldnt bear the thought of some paparazzitool keeping my dead fathers clothes just to jizz all over them. ick.
thats natsy :[

I love Nirvana... I'm only 16 years old, so I was only 2 years old when Kurt committed suicide. I guess that's where I differ from alot of you guys. Their music is still fresh and incredible to me. I only discovered them a few years ago and I love their music to death... And yes you might even find me wearing a Nirvana t-shirt from time to time.
