This entire thread is idiotic. Any one who lost respect for Metallica for having something different, should be stoned to death. They've been around for over 20 years, and have dominated. So quityerbitchin'.
 
My favorite Metallica songs used to be stuff like Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, ..And Justice For All, and all the other stuff with cool riRAB that's fun to learn on the guitar. But now, that new song that's out, "The Day that Never Comes", is not only fun on the guitar, but the vocals are the best I've ever heard coming from that man. The song corabines the best vocals of Metallica with guitar as complex and beautiful as Classical Gas.

This is just my opinion, I don't knw if anybody else agrees with me.
 
wow, thats nuts that they had that in the first place. but i actually never listen to radio anyway, usually just pop in a cd, all the stations in my city suck :p:
 
i love the old metallica like any sain person wud on the face of the planet but i dont mind there newer stuff too, i admit likeing there new stuff is probably just cus they should be worshipped and not on how good it actually is!!!

Are you sure it's Hammett who gave harmony to Metallica - I doubt it? Got any examples/evidence, because he didn't actually write that much in Metallica until later days.
 
can the person who sed the black album was Metallica's selling out point please tell me why it was? granted i dont own it and havent listened to it but still why?
 
Yeah like it or not, that album got great reviews across the board. Also, don't demand arrgo metal and then get pissed when they do it. As aborted as the project looked, you basement dwellers asked for it. their good ol' boy Southern Metal of the Load twins wasn't bad stuff it just wasn't metal. I think one of the problems is that some metallica fans suck way too much ****.

I like them too, and like many marks, I believe Master of Puppets is one of the finest metal albums ever made. They are just overrated, that's all. And NOW they suck. I might change my opinion if they release a good album soon.

Its just strange that so many people, especially the typical emo fangirls of Fall Out Boy, like just this one metal band. And even Iron Maiden are almost as well known as 'Tallica, yet they don't get as much attention as the latter.
 
dude, sorry to say, stone sour through trivium SUCK BIG HAIRY ****. and as for metallica, they were bad ass in the 80s, now they're just burnt out, old, bitter *******s that need to retire and leave they're image as untarnished as possible. they left their mark, time to go metallica.
