The OFFICIAL Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2 Thread

Hedwig definitely happens but I hear its slightly different from the book and Dobby definitely dies too.
But the people who saw the test screen thingy in Chigago said that
Wormtail didn't strangle himself with his own hand and was still alive when the Trio escaped Malfoy Manor and it is unknown whether or not he will die in Part 2.

Not sure about the Part 2 deaths yet.

i do wonder if they might make a 3D version in time for the 2nd part next year....would be a good way to make some more cash and allow for a fully 3D bluray release of them both.... personally i hope not as i hate fake 3D like this. Either film it in 3D or dont bother!

Been lurking on this thread and I can't contain myself any longer.

The new trailer is absolutely brilliant, I'm so excited for this film now. I was wondering if we could just miss October out so we hit November a bit quicker! And as for the wait until part 2 next July - it's going to be unbearable.

The parts I'm most looking forward to are
Snapes death
and
Molly's fight and "that" line.
But I know both of these will probably be in Part 2. I do want a lot of Snape though, I couldn't imagine anyone else playing him the way Alan Rickman does. I'm just so stoked that all of the characters have been played by the same actors all the way through the series (barring Richard Harris' death of course). I feel quite sad that it is all coming to an end but I too will be buying the inevitable blu ray, 3D remastered, extended editions whenever they become available. I can't imagine another authors work inspiring a series of films like this to ever be produced again.

Same here.

I was in tears when I read Dumbledore's death in the book but when I watched the film, I wasn't moved.

Richard Harris was exactly the Dumbledore I imagined when I first read the Philosopher's Stone.

So she is...getting confused with the basilisk because she's so big!

I listened to pottercast and they thought that that was a cgi mistake but that would be a good theory!

Does anyone know if they are showing the wedding because Harry will have to played by someone else surely wonder who they've got to play the Ginger haired boy he turns into!

I reckon six is probably my fave, with the way the whole plot flows and obviously they did well to get it to link into 7, although they did already know the end by then!

JK supported them the whole way thru especially with her major addition of ensuring that
Kreacher
was in OOTP

My one criticism of HBP is the whole Ginny/Harry relationship, after seeing the film I kinda thought their whole relationship was kinda rushed and came out of nowhere. Although having recently re-read OOTP and HBP it's a lot more involved than was made out in the films. I'm kind of annoyed, it's a big thing to me, especially as in the books
they end up together

I really think WB deserve a pat on the back for this.

It's nice to see that not all the studios are obsessed with 3D. And in a way, they're spot on - how many people would it piss off if the film was pushed back? I reckon more money will be made overall by this clever decision.
