The OFFICIAL Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2 Thread

Reading through MedaiFM's post, it sounRAB as though the producers are sticking very faithfully to the book this time - and that they are going to be doing it pretty frickin' well indeed!

Roll on the 19th of November!!

Apparently they didn't want to do the whole battle at the end because it would ruin the battle of the 7th book, which made me think the battle of the 7th is going to be a let down too.

But I just think the films haven't been done well.

Also if they have decided to split the 7th book why didn't they split the bigger books instead of just hugely editing them and removing a lot of the good stuff. The seven book is smaller than the 4th and 5th book and is the same size as the sixth. I mean the first half of the 7th book is basically the three kiRAB camping, this is what the whole movie will mainly be three kiRAB camping and roaming hillsides.

Sorry I am grumbling, I just feel they could have been done so much better.

Nagini isn't a basilisk - just you're average snake lol ;)

Re: the setting, spoilered just in case it's true

If you pause it on the scene though it looks like there is a huge hole in the wall. Rumours I've heard suggest they crash through the wall into the neighbours house - into a toddlers bedroom!

AHHHH *squeal*

How awesome is that new trailer?! I'm sure the scene of Voldermort firing the spell into the sky is
After he kills Harry
isn't that in part 2?

Good news Potter fans! :D

Conrad Pope, the orchestrator on the first three Potter films, has joined Alexandre Desplat who is composing the music for DH Part 1.

Pope said:

"Working on Alexandre Desplat's new score for the next "Potter". Exciting, vigorous music! Harry flies, fights and conjures. All accompanied by the distinctive, definitely non-generic voice of Desplat. Those who love melodies, harmonies and emotions in their film scores should be pleased. ReminRAB one of the old days. Stay tuned."

"We're one week and 20 minutes into a 100+ minute score. With film music, as you know, you can never be sure how things will come out, but I very, very optimistic!"

Pope has worked with Alexandre Desplat in other projects and has also worked with John Williams on PS, COS and POA.

I hate being a grown man all excited about this, but to hell with it, I can't wait for this one!

Shame it's in 3D though, I started this journey in 2D and that's how i'll finish it, might sound a bit strange, but WB don't jump on the bandwagon for the sake of it.

Bring on November! :D

ITV News had a segment on this yesterday, discussing how it may be unsuitable for the young'uns ... I LOVE how the Potter franchise gets increasingly darker :o

Thanks MediaFM, this bit of your news has allayed by fears of a cop-out, clearly they've just tinkered with the sequence to make for better cinema! Bravo!

Well since I know of no other person who rates 3D then I really don't think it is overrated :)

I just think it is another thing people love to hate. I personally don't mind it - if it is done properly - but for Harry Potter I am glad they ain't doing it since they haven't done it properly.
