The official ECLIPSE movie thread*

I've decided to use HMV instead of play from now on they dispatch quicker. :) Ordered stripped the other day and it arrived this morning. twilight dvd dispatched last night :D

The last 20 minutes or so were good, what a film should be. The rest was the usual Twilight 'easily please the 12 year old girl' crap. Still, a big improvement on the first two.

I don't understand why these two races are so obsessed with saving such a dull human though.

It does make sense. I've not read the books (which I think may be an advantage in this case), but I have experienced the same thing with books I've loved where I've felt they really miscast the films.

Just to ask, is Victoria featured alot in the movie (well judging from the book) as I think she's great and really chilling!

I read the first two but gave up lol!

Ahh okay fair enough. I thought judging from the trailer it seemed as if she's central to the plot and as to what will happen. She wasn't in 'new moon' much so hoping for a step up :)

Brilliant, a vast improvment on New Moon (and Twilight tbh!). Eclipse is finally the 'epic' the saga deserves - made me abit of a team edward boy aswell!

I know it is in America so i'm gonna watch it over there but i'm not sure about over here I looked on the two IMAX's closest to me and there is nothing mentioned so maybe only certain ones will show it.

Ok so I saw it on Tuesday night and I believe I must have lost like 25% of my hearing from the screaming.

The film was such an improvement on New Moon which I thought was a bit dull, I'd say its my favourite so far. Slade is definitely the best director so far. The pacing of the film wasn't great it seemed too fast and too slow at the same time, there were a couple of boring parts which were mainly Bella and Edward declaring their love for each other  There is stil a lot of cringey dialougue but compared to New Moon it wasn't that bad. But this one had a lot of humour which was great and for once we got to see quite a fair bit of the other characters, way more of the other Cullens and Charlie. The back stories of Jasper and Rosalie were great they were both pretty Bad Ass. The action scenes are pretty cool too a lot better than the films. The make-up is a lot better in this one too, in the others at times they just looked too fake but it was a lot more natural in Eclipse. I just wish there was more of Dakota Fanning because she is amazing as Jane and I still hate Kristen Stewart as Bella. Overall I thought it was pretty good as long as your not taking it too seriously.

Oh and Jacob is shirtless constantly! :D

Oooh badass Victoria :D.

I always seem to take to the 'villains' in movies rather than the point of the main characters lmao. I love Victoria, I think there's something quite chilling about someone with flame red hair and who's out for fatal revenge :D

Also, this may sound dumb (because i've seen the films) but is Victoria a vampire? But an enemy of the Cullens? (I have a very one way mind when watching films).

If watching two hours of cock-blocking is your thing, then you might actually enjoy Eclipse. Otherwise...

If you're a fan(atic - in the true sense of the word) then it will be an enjoyable experience. But for a film that is essentially about love, where is it people, huh, where is it?! You'll see more romance in two dogs getting 'friendly' in a park.

But story, plot etc doesn't matter, beacause Pattinson is so very dreamy. Apparently.

And if you don't mind, just like the cowarRAB we are, we'll now duck for cover.

Review here.

Just to say before I review this but I'm not a huge fan of twilight, but my sister wanted to see it and I fancied some popcorn so thought I'd go watch it for the sheer hell of it.

I'd say it was OK, not great but certainly better than the other two.

I do have some problems though...

Is Jacob supposed to be a total dick?

He's got a point about the safety (and how many people does she need to tell her that for crying out loud) and all that BUT he honestly neeRAB to take no for an answer.

Not that Bella isn't indecisive as hell though. Bloody hell. You can't have your cake and eat it.

The newborn stuff was more intresting that the bella/jacob/edward stuff.
Killing the young vampire girl at the end was bloody harsh!

There was also a few bits that were unintentionally funny (or maybe intentional-I can't tell)
The whole punching in the face thing and "Do you even own a shirt?"

I'd say quite a fair bit, well a lot more than the first 2, it depenRAB how they've filmed it, if they are showing what she is up to or if its all about The Cullens but they've changed actresses so I wonder if she'll be the same.
