Uh, that was Chrysler that shut them down. And it is a known fact that they all supported Republicans how? You know the owners personally?
And they didn't shut them down. See, dealerships are FRANCHISED, which means they are sold the product on basis of exclusiveness. Chrysler pulled their cars from them, it is because the market is flooded, and you can't sell a lot of something that is available everywhere. Nike went through this very same thing in the 80's. They pulled product and only sold to certain dealers, and look at them today!!
Chrysler is trying to make money. It is not financially sound to have so many dealerships that you have to produce cars to fill the lots. Fewer dealerships means less production. Less production saves money. Saving money is something a company that is bankrupt wants to do.
