Has anyone seen this yet? I saw it last night, and I must say I was terribly disappointed...the trailers look great but I thought the film was utter pants :(
 
It was OK, a little below average - wouldn't watch it again any time soon. I'd pick it up on dvd if I saw it on DVD for
 
lol oh dear..I actually quite liked it.

It was a bit weird and confusing in places, but overall it wasn't bad.
And I was surprised to find I liked Jim Carrey in it! Was worried I wasn't going to be able to take him seriously, and at the beginning he did nothing to ease that though lol, but as the film progressed he got better. I thought it was ok.
 
Oh god saw it at the weekend,we were just waiting for it to end just seemed to drag on and on and on and suddenly you dont round up .5 numbers to the next one anymore and duno just to much then got stupid of ooo swap these numbers get 23 just awlful never sitting through it again!Want my money back :( lol
 
I went to see The Number 23 and would have to disagree with most of the posts here.
I thought it was a well-acted, clever film that kept you guessing right until the end. Jim Carrey was great and I hope that he makes many more films in different genres than comedy.
Has any of you seen Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, another great film starring Jim. Overall I love Jim Lol.
 
Totally agree.

I was expecting a lot more, and I have to ask... does anyone here admit to predicting the ending straight away? I know it crossed my mind.

I'll say no more.
 
I really, really liked this film. I just finished watching it and thought it was clever and very well acted.
I had seen Eternal Sunshine- so seen Jim C without the comedy and he does very well doing serious acting as well!
Thought the entire set up of the film was brill, and even got me to thinking during it- also adding up whatever numbers appear in the film to see if they add to 23.
Thought it was entertaining, well acted, well written and very good twists in it- although so would argue predictable, I say, can these people do a better job?

I was disappointed too. It looked so promising. I like enigmatic, twisting thrillers in the style of Identity, Fight Club, Primal Fear and Memento and so I was looking forward to 23. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. In fact it failed to grip me at all an it took me three attempts to finish it.
 
I watched this last night on Sky Premiere. I was really looking forward to it - but found it very boring.

I found myself looking at the clock a lot, and thinking that the last 45mins had dragged !!

It perked up at the end, but i found the middle very dull.
 
I watched this last night as well. Found myself very bored and did not understand what was going on. Fell asleep half way through I was that bored.
Reckon Jim Carrey should stick to comedy...
