huh???
Start with reality.. a person chooses for themselves, if they WANT to RUN FOR OFFICE. I am guessing we could all come up with someone we want in office, but that does not make them willing to do so.
We have primary elections. People vote or not. Needless to say, voter turnout is not the best. So, persons get to "be" the candidate, regardless of what is best or not. It STILL is a matter of count the votes.
After the primaries...then the ball game goes wherever. I honestly think the GOP was screwed, before anyone got to the primaries, based on the history of the last administration. I think McCain was a poor choice to top it off. Palin was the icing on the cake. I actually have never voted in my life, but I voted to try and make sure she got no where NEAR Washington.
Fact of life.. I prefer what I heard from Obama, but that is with reality that I won't like everything he does. For one thing, he is not being elected King..we still have a govt with checks and balances. He will make mistakes. They all do. NONE are perfect.
The cycle will begin again eventually. The system isn't perfect, but far better than what other countries may have.
No man (or woman) is the magic answer to everything. And never will be.
