the new (HD) intro

Yeah I've noticed that also Cyn.

Also sometimes the HD TV at the end sometimes falls down and breaks and other times it stays on the wall.
 
They haven't picked new scenes but expanded on the old ones. What I noticed was in the scene where Bart skateboarRAB, Apu is now joined by the octuplets.
 
Cool I'll have to check those out next time I see the intro.

But I did notice the items Marge is buying at the store...noticed the tomacco and Mr. Sparkle products.
 
Yeah that's what you had to do before.

Also I love how they added characters on the same scenes like when Homer is about to leave work we see Lenny and Carl with the sign or Marge and Maggie and we see Grampa sleeping with them in the car.

I like those additions.
 
No, I'm not continuing the Tik Tok opening sequence discussion :P

Just a few observances from the last time I saw the intro:
- Marge's sisters, lined up behind her at the grocery, have their shopping cart full of nothing but Laramie cartons of cigarettes.
- The items Marge is buying include tomacco juice, Mr. Sparkle, and Frosty Krusty-Os.
- Homer's picture is on the wall of Bart's classroom, and he's dressed in his astronaut uniform.
 
I agree, I liked it for that one episode, but I really hope it's not a permanent thing. First of all, seems like such a strange time to change to a completely different theme song and all the characters singing in that voice still freaks me out. It might've been cool too if they'd gotten all the voice actors to sing the song instead.

And yes, if they're going to continue to do stuff like this, I would love to see them try other genres. There are some upbeat alternative songs that could potentially work. Not so sure about metal, but I bet the show could pull it off at least once.
 
I agree - just like a song on the radio, people will eventually get tired of it if it's overplayed. I'd like to see them try other genres as a challenge. Could they get all the characters to appear if it were something like alternative or heavy metal?
