I'm kind of torn on American Beauty....I give it a 7/10 but I can see how one can like the movie. The movie was just a bit too strange for me in parts.

I'm with you, Genesis. I haven't seen Raging Bull either.

It's 67 in my top 100... and when I redo the list, it will probably move into the top 50...

I should have paid more attention and I would have submitted a list. Or was it invite only?

Good to see Leon, and Double Indemnity on there. Temple of Doom is no surprise. I am surprise to see Good Will Hunting, which I thought most people forgot about after a year or so when it came out. Also shocked to see Moulin Rouge! which I assumed most people hated.

Of course I imagine this list will be heavily dominated by films released in the last 20 years or so.

I haven't seen anything of Indiana Jones, but I can't say I'd be surprised if all 3 of the best ones were on it. No true surprises yet, though its early.

I didn't get my list in on time for this, so I didn't help it...but Moulin Rouge quite possibly would have gotten more help if I did.

I don't know if it's more surprising that the Crow is on here at all or that it was in the top fifty on the previous list. even though i didn't participate now i'm pretty curious to see what else made it, that seems like a pretty good turnout as far as these things go as well.

Cool. I was thinking maybe highest rank, like say if Pulp Fiction and Goodfellas had the same amount of points but the highest Goodfellas was ranked on a submitted list was second and Pulp Fiction was first on one the tie would go to Pulp Fiction. That was me just trying to guess how you did it, though. The way you did it works just fine.

I better add that one to my to see list as well. Damn 11 in and 3 that I really still want to see (Double Indemnity, Leon, Goodwill Hunting)

89. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966, Nichols)

Total Points Earned: 36
Compared to Previous List: NEW

Requiem For A Dream is one of those films that is either a love it or just hate it. For me it wasn't awful, but very disturbing and something I would only want to view once.

I find it really weird how low some of these points total are still. I mean, assuming Darkrose got his vote in, that's 25 for American Beauty. Kind of interesting that it only garnered 11 more total points. That speaks volumes to how many different movies must have gotten votes, which I believe you stated somewhere before in here.

96. Double Indemnity (1944, Wilder)

Total Points Earned: 34
Compared to Previous List: NEW

Really loving Mystic River, Signs and Million Dollar Baby on the list. Disappointing to see Requiem for a Dream and to a lesser extent Blackhawk Down on there. And yes Harry Lime it's obvious Man on Fire > Requiem for a Dream. But we all have our own opinions.

I'm guessing a good few of mine won't see the light of day in this list. Nevermind, they'll be revealed when I finally get it done.

Sonatine is a pretty decent flick, I actually appreciated it a lot more the second time around. I think a big part of how much I like a film depends on which mood I'm in when I first watch it. I need to watch Hana-bi again.

Absolutely. It's also why I don't expect to see many of my choices on the list, as I feel (though I'd love to be wrong) that I'd be the only person (or maybe one of two) voting for it.
