The Mutt v Purebred & Shelter v Breeder Debate?

ok before anyone freaks out I am not dragging out the dead horse for another round of beating I just have a questions based on looking at some of the recent questions.

Why the HELL are purebred owners who go to reputable breeders the only ones getting lambasted for not getting a shelter dog and "leaving the poor lovely intelligent shelter mutts" to die, when if you are going to blame someone for the dogs dying in shelter other than their irresponsible owners who ditched them, shouldn't you be going after the fad chasing numbskulls who paid 2,500 for a "designer" breed because they didn't want some "dirty shelter mutt"?

Why is it acceptable to attack purebred owners and reputable breeders but its not ok to go after the people who are perpetuating some stupid fad that is leading to more mutts landing in the shelter when they aren't what they were billed to be; Poodle mixes that shed for example?

Does anyone else feel like the people who ask these questions are starting to sound more and more like PETA drones? You never hear PETA going on about the designer mix fad, BUT they can't go long without attacking the practice of breeding purebred dogs or making fools of themselves at a large and TELEVISED(because when do you ever see them at small shows?) dog show events.
I love Poodles: There is plenty
(stupid keyboard) there is plenty of bashing of purebred owners and breeders on here right along with some mutt bashing. There are people on here that would make it seem like people who get purebreds are doing the devil's work and are single handedly responsible for all the dog dying in the shelters because we don't or at least they assume don't take in shelter/rescue dogs.
