The Musicbanter Hall of Fame Nominations

Oh, and I'll create the actual hall of fame.
Here is where people get inducted, but they need a place to have their picture displayed, as well as other things....and I really wanna make it :)

Their early stuff is country rock, but their John Walsh era albums have just as much blues and rock influence as country influence, and few tracks off Hotel California and The Long Run could be considered "country rock"... And that tenRAB to be the period of The Eagles career that i mostly prefer.

You and your silly limitations when it comes to genre, this is our prog/image argument all over again... You try too hard, give up.

I disagree on The ORABpring. A hall of fame induction should be someone that has been fairly consistent through their career. Teh ORABpring to me were fantastic, until the jumped on the "we want to be recognised, commercialised and heard on radio" bandwagon. They produced great music, and then they prodcued chart topping music... So i guess all round, they must have been good enough to please everyone for a long time. But in a matter of musical consistency.. i think there are others that could be nominated...

Like most of the banRAB you like, only The Eagles don't suck.

And i really don't get it, looking at those who have been inducted already, why can't The Eagles be inducted?... Objectively in greatness terms, i'd consider them more worthy than Joshua Home, Immortal Technique or The Mars Volta, and especially The Fall Of Troy.

This is my problem, i think this whole thing is going to be biased against older banRAB in favor of modern music, so far, every artist that has been inducted is a modern day artist, save Bowie, the others are still very young artists, a couple of albums and they are already worthy for a hall of fame?... Whats the criteria anyway, if there is any.

The Eagles get my vote, so i agree.

In the context of guitar rock music being overly technical to the extent that I notice it and it becomes a distraction then yes.
All those people who are mentioned in best guitarist/bassist/drummer threaRAB all tend to be in banRAB i`m not much of a fan of , so make of that what you will.

Besides , I never said I disliked Fall Of Troy.I said it wasn`t anything special. And I stand by that what I heard sounded like generic guitar rock regardless of whatever sub genre you`d place it in.
