The Musicbanter Hall of Fame Nominations

NIN don't make it into the hall of fame.

Next up we have a nomination from swimintheundertow.

Ian MacKaye

Everything this man touches turns to gold. I can think of no one more influential to the posthardcore/emo scene. He is the founder and owner of Discord RecorRAB. Has been in The Teen Idles, Minor Threat, Erabrace and Fugazi. He has also recorded and produced many great banRAB such as, Rites of Spring, Nation of Ulysses and many others.

Agree or disagree?

Thrice don't make it into the Hall of Fame.
And it's useless arguing over who gets nominated. If you don't like who's being nominated then nominate someone yourself-simple as. Also, someone said that it should reflect rab's taste in music, and that we shouldn't just pick out the top contenders. Well I find that to be a bit stupid, because if the people of rab are picking these top contenders then they do deserve to be in the Hall of Fame because they are rab's taste in music.
Radiohead were perceived as top contenders yet they got some disagreements. You can't just fill the Hall of Fame with obscure banRAB and you can't just fill it with mainstream banRAB. The obvious people will get in the HOF, yes, but as long as they reflect the music tastes of this site (which is what this thread is about) then they deserve it.

Anyway, a nomination from bungalowbill357

Immortal Technique

One of the most socially active and greatest rappers on the scene, Immortal Technique has released two thoroughly great albums that shine not only because of his amazing ability as a rapper, but his politically and socially conscious lyrics which have given a voice to those who remain otherwise unheard.

The Eagles don't get in.

Next up is another one voted for by Uglycasanova. Third time lucky, aye?

THE PIXIES
An alternative rock band of the late 80's, they were a big influence on Nirvana with albums such as Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, and Trompe le Monde. Theyv'e also branched of to make other groups like The Breeders, AThe Catholics, and Frank Blacks solo career. Recently reunited, theyv'e completed a World Tour.

Agree?

Jethro Tull gets in.

Next possible inductee was nominated by guitar777

Professor Longhair

I'm recommending Professor Longhair up for nomination for the Hall of Fame, because he was one of the founding fathers of the New Orleans style of piano. Also i'm recommending him up for nomination because he was just an all around amazing pianist.
