The Most Revolting Scene In A Film

Fulci is the Godfather of gore without a doubt, Zombie and The Beyond

But Traces Of Death is that the film where they have to slap peoples faces back together for identity after horrific accidents/suicide etc? What a job to have to do!
 
I have an issue with anybody eating anything inappropriate i.e Austin Powers drinking poo coffee, or Randy Quaid drinking "milk" in Kingpin

I also find the noises in the scene where Chris Ecclestone is sawing up Keith Allen in Shallow Grave pretty disconcerting. Bleeeeee!
 
Oh the head on a stick scene, that was not as disturbing as it was made out to be but still upsetting, good film though.


One I can think of is from Dead or Alive by the director Miike Takashi, a woman is drowned in a paddle pool full of her own feces... ugh.
 
That takes me back!

I was a year or so under age when I went to see Company of Wolves. It's the only time I ever had the urge to flee a cinema. I've never seen that film since:o
 
All the above scenes rely on special effects (bar Divine in Pink Flamingoes).

I defy anyone to sit through the turtle scene in Cannibal Holocaust without wondering why or should they be watching.

Needless to say ,the scene (and many others of equal revulsion) are missing from the UK R2 release of the film.

Outside of fictional stories (albeit with real animal killing) the most revolting footage could be any one of numerous scenes of real death in the Traces of Death series (not to be confused with the fake scenes in Faces of Death).

I'm a hardened gorehound from the days when Fulci films were escorted out the country by the censors,but the Traces of Death series marks the first time ever I have had to switch off partway through,not because I was going to be sick but for its mixture of revulsion and offensiveness
 
The rape scene in 'Irreversible' was uncomfortable to watch, it seemed to last for an hour.

And the scene where the guy gets repeatedly beaten with the fire extinguisher (you can hear the skull cracking....ugh!)
