The most INTENSE song ever?

Bleed For The Devil by Morbid Angel is a very intense song. It's straightforward blastbeating with a few sparing pauses to allow quick recover...

Yeah, Dragonforce is pretty intense, but their live shows suck in my opinion...

I like their songs Cry For Eternity, Soldiers of the Wasteland, and Black Fire.

Also, I rally used to like Through the Fire and Flames, but for some reason it's annoying to me now. :banghead:

I'll agree with Me and a Gun - Tori Amos for sure, and add:

Take the veil cerpin taxt - TMV
The Ballad of Robert Moore and Betty Coltrane - Nick Cave (Go listen to that song!)
The Tourist - Radiohead

Fear of a Blank Planet by Porcupine Tree is possibly the most lyrically intense song I have ever heard. And not because its about killing. This isn't Gwar, people. (haha Gwar. What would we be without them?)

I think the hook riff to Elegy by Becoming the Archetype is possibly the most intense piece of modern music.

All time favorite has to go to Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath.
That song is still as heavy, intense, and just plain scary today as it was 40 years ago.

Any of the above haha. Intense is an arabiguous term for sure, especially in music. I guess as long as reference is made to why you think it's intense then all is well because people can see where you are coming from.

Just looking at my 2005 posts...and moving on from them very quickly lol.

Right now for me my intense pick would be Boris by the Melvins. Just indulgent in a varying one riff, 8 minute slog of sheer heavy that I don't think any band could capture with that same kind of intensity. It is quite foreboding, the lyrics are a bit of "woah" and the speed is almost slowed down to barely moving.

Inertiatic ESP by The Mars Volta is pretty intense (not hard, just intense). Come to think of it, most of their songs are pretty intense, but without being overly hardcore.

Nice Avatar btw Merkaba.
\m/ Melvins \m/
