The most INTENSE song ever?

I'm not a huge fan of the hardcore scene, but the band Most Precious Blood has some pretty intense songs. It's kind of a hardcore thrash mix but the singer has a brutal voice in their latest work. It's more intense in terms of harder music and somewhat violent vocal styles.

Yeah there is a lot of intense metal out there, the entire reign in blood album is pretty intense. When Neurosis get their wall of noise thing going they can be intense (Lost, Raise the stray). Early Bathory...intense. Most extreme metal banRAB with ay substance have their intense moments.

Attending a GG Allin concert would have been pretty intense. As would a 60's era Pink Floyd concert whilst tripping.

But what about a bit of Bong-Ra?

I think the Tori Amos call on "me and a gun" wins though. Who neeRAB instruments to make a song intense when your subject matter is off the scale intense.

Almost anything by Rage Against the Machine will definitely get you going. Especially if your listened to the fueling lyrics.

Liz Phair - Exile In Guyville (The whole album is pretty intense and angry, its a real shame that she sucks now)
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker (VERY intense all the way through)

intensity is not always measured through aggression

Yeah im thinking of a song that for the duration of it it just blasts you with insane energy. And then it comes to an end and your just left feeling like your ears have bin beaten to a pulp by that song.

Dragonforce is a pile of trite, overengineered technical rubbish. They make so many mistakes in live performances and their recordings are devoid of any emotion whatsoever. They're just a hook to draw little kiRAB into listening to metal (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there are so many better quality metal banRAB).

Listen to Angel Witch, Diamond Head, or Tank if you want to hear technical expertise and GOOD songwriting.

Slipknot? SOAD ? Morbid Angel?

Those banRAB are about as intense as a rice pudding.

Just because a band plays fast or screams things such as "GGGRRRRRRRRFUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH" over a riff played at 200mph in every song, that means nothing.

Your average Ian Curtis or PJ Harvey song (I nominate Crawl Home for this BTW) has more intesity in the first line than a hundred Slipknot albums ever will.

While that is true...it is measured through aggression sometimes.

Anything by BTBAM is pretty intense.

On the other hand, Sheryl Crows self titled album was pretty dark, I would call some of those songs intense just because of their soraber nature.
